What happened last 2 days?

This question improved by strong word hell - "What the hell happened?" was asked by many of you today! And the response is not easy, the only thing i can say is we will do everything possible to avoid that in the future.

So what the hell happened?

Our long time provider of server services joined the company with another company and our server was ready for migration to new servers. All was supposed to be better than before, because together they do have more resources to take care of us, which should be more effective especially when vacation time is coming. Altough new people have information about our situation, and was specifically asked to find a good date for the migration, they did it witout prior approval of me. Obviusly that leads to trouble. The good thing is that there were only minor issues, like missed calculations of races and later calculation of some requests. All these things were fixed before lunch on Friday. There were issue with voting points, but that is not too important and was solved today.

Then the terrible part came up. On saturday datacenter of our provider were under hackers attack. That leaded to blockade of all foreign connections to our DNS server, place where your browser looks for location of our server. So our game server, located in other place, were actually working ok, and was available, but DNS information was not provided so many of you were not able to connect. In the morning datacenter was still under attack so we decided to move DNS server to another place and it was only question of time when you will be able to connect to the game. It takes some time to load new DNS information and that is exacty what happened. Most people were able to get to the game at noon, but few were not. That is why we postponed season series races to 22:00 CET, to give everybody chance to set the strategy.

We are very sorry for this, it was not our fault. Fro now we are looking for new and BETTER provider for our server to provide better quality for you. Honestly I almost started to cry like a small girl when i saw such amateurism destroying this game I built for 7 years now :(
