MRC F1 Fantasy League

MRC F1 Fantasy League

With the final F1 grand prix taking place in Abu Dhabi on the weekend, it also marked the end of the MRC F1 Fantasy League for this season!

In an exciting F1 Fantasy League season there were no less than seven competitors winning individual races throughout, with the lead changing hands several times. In the end, the overall winner showed there would be no stopping him, picking up 4 wins on the spin right at the end to achieve an unassailable lead.

The season started off in Melbourne, Australia with Diglize taking the first win to lay down a marker for his challenge. In the second race of the year, Lee1950 became the second winner ensuring an open start to the competition. However, Debik went on to take the next two races in style at both Bahrain and China to suggest he would be a very strong adversary for anyone!

At the Spanish Grand Prix, it was that man Diglize who again went on to take the chequered flag for his second race victory of the season. The Monaco Grand Prix seen a new winner in the shape of JMCFMADEIRA! The Canadian Grand Prix seen the fifth different winner atop of the podium as Adamski4048 beat off the competition to secure his victory.

In the Austrian Grand Prix, we seen a sign of things to come as Lee1950 obliterated his opponents with an impressive outing which seen him pick up his second win of the season. Nightwolf13 became the sixth different winner by taking the win at the Great Britain Grand Prix. Next up, was a third win for Lee1950 at the German Grand Prix, who managed to extend his lead to 200 points at this stage of the competition. zeh101 was next to drive a victory lap, tasting success in Hungary as he enjoyed his first of two successive wins with the second one coming at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. In the Italian Grand Prix, Lee1950 made a mockery of the field taking his fourth win of the campaign before a resurgent Debik took his third race win in Singapore.

Lee1950 was big in Japan in the following Grand Prix, which marked the end of the road for his competitors as he went on to win 3 further Grand Prix events in Russia, his own country the USA and ending his magnificent run of race victories in Brazil, which effectively ended the race for the No. 1 spot in the standings at the seasons end. Nightwolf13 took another victory right at the end in Abu Dhabi but there was no disputing the overall victor.

Lee1950 won 8 races throughout the season and was mostly always amongst the front runners each race weekend. Congratulations Lee1950 on a fine victory!
