NEWS: Private Cars Revamp.

NEWS: Private Cars Revamp.

Hi guys. Today I bring you news of developments of future improvements in private car races.!

We are currently designing new private cars that we intend adding to the game on a regular basis. Some of you have already seen and purchased the brand new Audi R8 that was created by thedonz, who is also finalising the next private car, the Alfa Romeo 4c. All of this is the beginning of something bigger we have planned in the Private Car section of the game.

Here at MRC HQ we have reviewed the private car section and it's races and going forward we plan on placing all of the existing Private Cars as well as future private car models in separate race categories. At the moment there is just a basic classification of private cars that we feel can be improved upon drastically.

We are also in the process of designing a classification system, but as of yet nothing is decided upon and changes will more than likely occur before we decide on the final system to use.

At this moment in time we have broken the classes down to something like this:

Production Cars: 5 classifications.
P1: Example: Peugeot 108
P2: Example: VW Polo
P3: Example: Seat Leon
P4: Example: Ford Mondeo
P5: Example: Audi A6

Sports Cars: 5 classes
SA: Example: Lotus Exige
SB: Example: McLaren MP4
SC: Example: Lamborghini Aventador
(Note) - A, B and C Class categories will include standard production sports car models.
SR: Example: Porsche GT3.
(Note) - R Class will include modified cars for racing.
SX: Example: Caterham R500
(Note) - X Class cars will include super-lightweight models.

In addition to the above classes we are looking at introducing several different classes that will not have as strict classification rules, such as:

Classic Cars - Sport cars from a certain era divided into classes by year of production. For example C1 class will contain our current classic cars produced before WW2.
Rally Cars - 2 Rally categories. Top performance only; WRC class and Classic Rally cars. (Production cars will also have attributes for rally driving, but will not be as powerful as dedicated rally class cars).
Japanese Heroes (JH class): Examples: Nissan Skyline, Mazda RX8...
Muscle cars (M class): Examples: Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang...
Cabrio cars (C class): Examples: Ferrari California, Porsche Boxter...
SUVs (SUV class): Examples: Kia Sportage, Dodge Caliber...

We are also considering new motorcycle classes, but this will be further in the future before we can get to them!

So as you can see, there is still quite a lot to work out before we decide on anything and again, everything written above is not final and more than likely will be altered before reaching final decisions on how we move forward with the Private Car set-up.

Our aim is to design a new system that offers more competition within the private classes as well as more fun. It's as simple as that!

As always, we will keep you informed of further developments as they occur.

Bye for now!
