Updates for Season 68

The new season is here!!

Hello everyone, and welcome to Season 68 of My Racing Career! Here is your seasonal MRC News article with everything coming to the game this week. We will also review a few things that were implemented throughout Season 67. So, without further ado, let's get started!

GLOBAL SEARCH BAR
Sometimes, navigation through MRC is not easy, especially when you are looking for someone. We believe this new function will help with that. This new global search bar will be available at the top right of your screen. Just click on the magnifier icon, type whatever you want, and you'll be able to search for drivers, managers, racing clubs, NMAs, F1 teams and circuits. Series search is being considered for future updates.

PRIVATE SERIES IMPROVEMENTS
It's been a long while since Private Series were first introduced. However, they have never been fully revamped, so we have decided to add more functionality, including:
- Custom names for each event.
- Two types of tyres (Softs/Hards) for F4 cars (only in private series environment). You don't need to set 'weather usage' parameters for Softs/Hards, as they are derived from Slicks.
- Custom number of tyre sets (between 3 and 8).
- Custom number of practice stints (between 3 and 6).
- Wider range of race distances for F4 (50-400km).
- Group invitations (country, F1 team fans, age group)

The following functionality is planned to be implemented with the Season 70 deadline (from our roadmap) in mind:
- Softs/Hards in other categories (only in private series environment)
- Custom dates for each event within the same season
- Forcing drivers to use both sets of tyres
- "Prestigious private series" page - a space where you will be able to see data from series which have been given enough continuity
- Option to set reverse grid in the first race instead of the second
- Custom qualifying systems: namely MotoGP and Formula E
- Restricting OPEN private car series to X number of cars. This would allow multiclass series and standings

Since there will be many more options, the cost of using too many options in private series for users without a Superlicense may increase. We will keep prices the same in this first season, but we think it is good to let you know in advance.

MORE NOTIFICATIONS
During Season 67, the following mobile and in-game notifications were added:
- Design Challenges
- Quali/race/stage setup and strategy reminders
- Finished quali/race/stage
- Finished extra training
- New private messages

All of these notifications can be activated/deactivated from the "Settings" page.

NEW FORMULA 1 STATS
Two new functionalities have been added regarding Formula 1 World Series stats. The first one is the completely new "Analyse" tab, which will allow you to compare two F1 teams in all aspects.

The second one is the new "Driver Ranking" option inside each team's "History" page.

OTHER CHANGES
- Forum surveys are now available. They will be temporarily available only to admins. If any user wants to hold a survey on a forum topic, they can send a message HERE.
- Formula 1 team assistants can now see the "Manage Strategy" page.
- Formula 1 changes announced in Season 67 have all been applied. The calendar has also been updated to its 2027 real-life counterpart.
- NASC Gold, Silver, Truck and Indy Series calendars have been updated to their 2027 real-life counterparts.

That is all for today. Remember that we announced our roadmap for seasons 68-70 a few months ago. During this season, work will be focused on finishing private series improvements, starting with rally and clubs improvements, or dark theme for new GUI, among others. We don't want it to be all smoke and mirrors, so we won't be giving many details. Of course, minor updates and bug fixes during the season will still be done, and mentioned in our Developers Office post from the Worldwide Forum.
