Press Releases - Rating the Top Mrc Season series
Rating the Top Mrc Season series
Since I have personally raced In all the Top season series and least one season. I thought I would write about which of these series I rate the top. Not purely based on Rating but how difficult they are to manage a driver from. So lets get started
Formula 1 is still the toughest season series to practice setup.. Qualify and Win. I personally never won there. But just doing practice requires coordination if you want engineers to help with feed back on the car. Then you either go with Team tire wear data already saved or you spend a season or two collecting your own. Now there is qualifying.. there are 3 stints. Now if your in a clearly top car and you believe you might can make it into qualify 2 on mediums savings 2 clean sets softs to try for a pole. Even in clearly bottom car you could even go hards and save all your softs and mediums for the race. Then comes the race itself if conditions are dry you must schedule in 2 different sets of compounds. With the top drivers all being in F1 well mostly all. And all the specail rules F1 is still the most challenging series.
Next is Easily still Indy where the cars are similar enough car choice really is not a determining factor who can win. It has 2 sets of compounds as well but normally enough tires to vary you race decisions. Now Track variety and endurance on some tracks is longer Then F1 other tracks are much easier to get a good setup. Where Indy is Clearly number 2 and best Series to determine the best driver each year. The competition there is Stiffer The best manager and driver wins Indy not the best car.
Drawback of Indy it does not help you with F1 tracks for driver track knowledge.
Now the 3rd toughest people will think I am insane. But having drove all the others and World GT No question it is just as challenging in some races the 1000k races they are tougher then F1 Indy or any other series race. Now they get 8 sets of tires seems like enough.. But race a sport R race anywhere better yet on tracks in this season series. The tracks Deemed to dangerous for F1 are raced in World GT.. No other series will you have to use a 70 tire aggression to do the prescheduled pit suggestion. In world Gt you may have to go as low as 30! tire aggression or you will get a puncture and crash out of the race. This season series Once again should be 2.4 not 2.0. even adding 2 more sets to 10 sets it would still be 2.4 series..
Next Come Gold Cup. The Old format of Gold Cup was much tougher to win and get the Bonus money at the end of the season. the races are just as rough but the prestige has dropped rewarding some spectacular risky drivers over consistant performance keeping you car in top 10 every race and you could win the series. Now Gold cup is still the roughest to figure out how much Risky Drive to use in races that all go over 3 hours long. These races are simulated correctly because even 100 fitness drivers can crash out and their only mistake might wipeout the car. Many have won of damaged cars.. It still rough and tumble racing.
Next Come DTWS I know the Germans will be glad it's mentioned. This series has technical tracks but all of the just need 1 pit. The series is also casual enough because every weeks races the same track. Pretty much the most skilled driver wins the season series with very few surprises. But the series is fun and sometimes you need some challenge as the next series after this have none.
Next Comes Moto 1 even though it a 2.4 series. I have never ran it. It real claim to fame over the other 2,0 series is. To winn it you need a additional skill Balance. Some would claim that makes it superior or equal to F1.. But then again we are talking about challenge as a manager. There is no piting. But worse then that Moto 1 2 3 all use the same tracks. By the time you get to Moto 1 hell you might be able to write in the settings from memory! Not likely for me But I know there are some who might remember that much.. LOL
Next comes 911 super cup while this series seems to carry huge prestige in Europe in reality and maybe even be F1 driver training ground. From challenge is setting up.. ZZZzzzz long boring season. Only reason this one is noty dead last because Porsche 911 is both sexy and a lot faster the Formula E.
Last comes Formula E.. The Green generation favorite is a Very Very Slow Formula car.. so Slow That an 18 Yo driver could stay on lead lap every race. With no piting A mistake by an experienced driver could get a youngster in top 10. I know Because Foyt finished the series in 10th overall as 20 year old.
Note I have not raced Super 8 but my belief from what I have heard it is more challenging then Formula E or 911 super cup.
Remember this nothing about Fan base or Sponsor incomes this is about pure challenge and attention to detail setting up each race in that season series. And the quality of drivers and managers to possibly win those series.
I hope at least I gave you a laugh! :)
F2 World Cup
I am sorry I missed the 2.0 season series to rate it. It would be just slightly higher then DTWS. The series are about the same in difficulty. But With the Intense competition of this Classic makes winning it harder then DTWS. The biggest reason for...
