Snicker Doodle Announces Earnhardt Tribute
After correcting the ship in Las Vegas, Pepperidge Farm Racing and their rookie driver have announced a series of liveries offering tribute to the legendary Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Snicker Doodle addressed the media Sunday after finishing his 2nd NASC Truck Series race in 10th. "My family has always respected the history around this sport, and Pepperidge Farm has agreed to allow me to get creative with their sponsorship. For the next 8 races, we'll be running Earnhardt-inspired paint schemes. This week, for Atlanta and Miami I'll be driving the classic 'Intimidator' look, and for 2 races each, we'll roll out his gold/black scheme, his patriotic USA scheme, specifically with Charlotte Speedway in mind, and finally my favorite, his yellow/blue Wrangler theme. I can't thank Pepperidge Farm enough for letting me get creative with these schemes while still maintaining our strong sponsorship."
Pepperidge Farm spokesman, Allan Abrams stepped in and further explained the team's decision. "The Truck Series has a serious lack of color and creativity right now. It's mostly young drivers trying to make a name for themselves on the score sheets, and we get it, but we thought it would be fun to get some color into the field and show that even the young drivers can look good while they're learning the ropes."
Here's a look at the first iteration of the upcoming Earnhardt paint schemes that Snicker Doodle will run in the Truck Series:
Stay tuned as Pepperidge Farm Racing sources have hinted that other tribute schemes may be on the horizon as Snicker Doodle continues his career.
