Press Releases - MRC Career Crisis Advice

MRC Career Crisis Advice

Hello to everyone reading this article, I hope this finds you well. One of the most conflicting aspects about our wonderful game is having to choose the season series. The internal issues for the player is the bias and temptation to choose the series in which they love in real life. For me, it was the NASCAR Cup Series. Thus, I was tempted to place my rookie driver in the NASC Gold Cup for my debut season. This is also why I set my driver's age at 26, to speed up the process for instant results.

But the truth is, your preferred series likely will not be the series you stick with your entire career. If you are a very good driver and get scouted by a team (Audi in my case), you may have to deviate from your intentions for the betterment of your driver. This also has a major impact on rating, as the well known path is to start in a lower rung series, but strategically you would want to be in a series in which you can succeed and compete for wins and championships in. Doing that took me to the F3 American Series.

Morale of the story is that there are really two ways to approach this game. The MRC player in which tries to enjoy the game by playing in their favorite series but not quite getting wins, championships and the results that would look good on paper. The other, is the long term manager in which attempts to build a legacy in the game with his or her driver.

However, we're not done yet folks. The season series does have an imbalance problem, with drivers of higher ranking competing in the lower ranks - preventing MRC's next superstars to develop rivalries by competing for wins and championships with each other. This in my opinion is a notable flaw that should be fixed, as the rookie series does not do enough. If anything, the 0.50 series should be limited to drivers with a rating of 1500 or under. This will allow new talents to prosper with a reasonable look of competition and for other teams to spot these talents and develop from there.

As for my own driver, running 20th in the NASC Gold Cup with a 19 year old driver was what helped me get into NONO Racing, as well as Team Audi along with the USA National Team, three things some drivers might not be able to say.

With that being said, in conclusion - there is no clear cut path towards the MRC career in this game. It is just like real life, there is no manual as to how to guide your driver's career. You are making all the decisions as to how your driver's future will look like. And your goals may change over time for your MRC career and it is reflected in your driver as well. With all good intentions, enjoy your management in MRC while you play and the everlasting journey that is in the wake of your career as a MyRacingCareer account owner. And most importantly, have fun!

I agree it would be nice if the developmental levels in the different series were actually in some way regulated to make it possible for developing drivers to actually have a chance to win titles and be competitive for the top spots. In almost any s...
