Press Releases - F3 Masters Season 33: Macau Preview: Is Novikov's defence under threat?

F3 Masters Season 33: Macau Preview: Is Novikov's defence under threat?

It's been a stunning season so far, I know the podium has been a bit predictable than normal this season but the fight's still there, Michael Damon Novikov started his defence in style, winning the first 3 races and of course, he had to fight for them, and it wasn't an ordinary fight, it's a classic battle between himself and Chloe de St. Germain, not just Pau when he got past on the final lap but in almost every single race and also for the championship which the French maiden currently leads by 19 points, she's been on a roll after Monaco, winning both races at Zandvoort and Spa, and at Spa Feature under the torrenerous monsoon conditions, they still got their elbows out with St. Germain in the end coming out on top when she outsmarted her title rival in the strategy game, going for the undercut. She might've had one bad race at Monaco Feature but Novikov's off-guard meeting at Zandvoort cost him dearly and now coming to Macau we got a title showdown in our hands, Szalonna on the other hand managed to get a race win other than the top two and is still in the title fight but he's once again been the real underdog, been on the podium every race until Spa, also props to Bartolomeu Jarbas, been on the podium in the last 5 races, top 5 in the last 6, if you forget about Pau where he crashed out in the Sprint Race from a potential race win with Novikov and St. Germain fighting it out as mentioned above then he would've still be in the title fight, but he's still got the ingredients to be a race winner here and he's still waiting for that.

Meaanwhile in the best of the rest, David Nalbandian took the honours with Alan Kulwicki, Sasu Suikkanen and Vadim Matveyev being in the mix in the former part of the season, Aleksantari Kokkonen came back after a horror start and is still potentially there to take that crown, also talking about the U24 fight, it's been real saucy, he currently leads from Tomek Pasek whose having an incredible season here but Bernando Reckziegel and Paul Carlotti are all still in the mix so anything can happen here, also props to Joe Paulposichon being one of the youngest in that title selection and is still causing headaches to older drivers so who's your money on to take that 5 coin prize?
U22 as also been interesting too, Arkadiusz Wrona II just narrowing Leo Halle in the fight despite that the latter has only scored one overall point at Monaco, another saucy fight to keep your eyes on also Adam Giza, a younger lad in this is still in chance of snatching someone's potential crown here.
U19's has been totally dominated by Milan Zakrajsek Jr. putting out some encouraging results but he's not safe of the title fight, one DNF and it could go into Gerd Berger's hands.
Alexey Miller might be 20 but as one of the younger drivers in the U22 class, I'd say he's doing himself massive favours here and has got the future in his hands here, only recently getting off the mark at Spa in the wet, great drive nonetheless.

So who you're saying has got the win, send me your opinions on the forum here:

Anyways, see you at 8 for Quali guys, stay tuned for what happens.
