Press Releases - Young, Morris, Doucet Canadian Cup
Young, Morris, Doucet Canadian Cup
Hey guys, I put together a little something in honour of 3 great racing managers: Rick Young (drakkerminion), Chris Morris, and Dean Doucet (Deuce). These guys were huge to the development of Canada as a racing nation.
Everyone knows Deuce and how much his did for each of us. There are few that have the knowledge he had and the willingness to share as much as he did. He was a great racer too and I once nicknamed the Canadian Cup podium Mt. Doucet because he could usually be found on it!
Chris was the reason the the Canadian Cup existed in the first place and I think that is worthy of tribute. He's also a former Canadian president and one great racer in his own right. He was a mainstay of the Canadian Nations Cup team for years and was dominant in both U21 and senior competition.
Rick was a specialist and was there to help the team Canada in any way he could and that included creating U21 racing phenoms season after season!
All active Canadians have been invited to attend the series and if by chance I've missed anyone, mail me and I'll get you an invite.
To mix things up, I've also selected some of our US brothers to compete with us. Looking forward to meeting them on the track and hoping everyone extends them a good ol' Canadian welcome....make sure it's a 24 pack because we know it's stronger than what they're used to! We'll need every advantage we can get! LOL
