Formula 1: Driver Lineup for Season 31

With only three races left, this Formula 1 season is coming to a close, so it's time we take a look as who will drive where in season 31.

While there were a lot of transfer before season 30, next season will look a lot more familiar to Formula 1 fans. This is largely because this season 6 teams have decided to extend contracts with both of their drivers (Red Bull, Porsche, Mercedes, Senna, Trabant and LKR). For season 30 only two teams have done so. On the other hand, this season only two teams have decided to replace both of their drivers (Audi and Jordan). In both cases this was largely because team principals have decided to hit a pause button for season 31, so they can better prepare for season 32.

New driver line-up will also feature a lot less rookies. In season 30 we had seven rookies and all but Jenofefa Urvinitkova (Jordan) have managed to secure their contract for another season. Next season only four drivers will battle for the Rookie of the Year title, Patricio Cruz (WAR), Thor Viking (Williams), Ralph Scher (Ford) and Anton Mencia (Ferrari).

There will also be few old faces coming back to Formula 1. Noemi Bachmayer, Libor Vaclav, Jaroslav Kaderabek Jr. and Marco Aurelio will all come back after having driven in just one Formula 1 season in the past.

However, there will be one thing we will have to get used to… it will be weird for a while not to see Ivan Lutiy (8 seasons), Miervaldis Kauss (6 seasons), Danny Doucet (4 seasons), Alexey Lookyanuk (4 seasons) and Artem Markelov (4 season) driving around Formula 1 track.
