Press Releases - F3 Masters Round 1 Pau Round-Up: Winners and Losers

F3 Masters Round 1 Pau Round-Up: Winners and Losers

First of all, never had the chance to say it but I want to say thanks to everyone who signed up, we filled up places in less than 24 hours so I'm very grateful for your interest :D I might get the prizes sorted too once I get more coins so 10 for the overall winner, 5 for U24's, 4 for U21's and 3 for U18's, I will have to find out every driver in their age group for Day 1 of this season but I'll get a little table sorted when I get the time.

Now we're gonna have a bit of fun here, a review :P

Winners:

Rafael Drummond: It's a clean sweep for Rafael Drummond, took pole and won both races so he's the biggest winner here. It was obvious he was going to be a clean favourite in this so yeah, good start so far.

Bartek Szybki: Only 2 years younger than the most of top guys here and he's established himself has one kid to be scared of, he gave Drummond a run of his money in the feature race but Drummond was able to get through and shoutout to Jukka Palmu who also got through as well, they are both joint 2nd in the championship after the Pau rounds, great drive by Szybki, defintely going to be an underdog.

Zahara Starwing, Steve Wallace and Josh Rush: Entertaining battle by the 3, Josh Rush in a least favourable Lola car just beat them in the Sprint for 4th with the best pitstop while Zahara took the honours in the Feature with Steve Wallace caught in the middle of it, good race by them 3. Josh will be someone to watch out for at Spa and Macau with the flatout starights going to suit his car alot.

Marc Villanova: Like Szybki, very talented and scary pace but was quiet but consistent around Pau, so reasonable round from the young Spaniard.

Angel Holguera: Another young Spaniard who braved the streets of Pau, good stuff by him too.

Paolo Nannini: Only 22, younger than most of his competitiors but he managed to keep his nose clean and finished right in the edge of the top 10 in both races, that is another star peformer in my eyes.

Losers:

Ludek Valenta Jr. and Harvey Evans: Two big favourites who have a harder shot at winning after only what was the first corner of the whole championship, it's all down to Ludek who had all the space through turn 1 but just unforunately clipped poor Harvey Evans into the wall and could only miss out on a scoring point compared to Ludek's 4 in the whole round cause of it, let alone scoring points, look where they are now, they got a serious recovery job in their hands now.

Mack Zaggro: The Young Brit did well this round, qualifying 9th, running high as 7th but the reason why he ended up here was because of his poor strategy and pitstop which put him down all the way to 13th and no improvement in Race 2 having ended up hitting the back of David Lumbreras Jr. while trying to get the places back but things are looking promising for him on the bright side.

Vincent Ritter: Costly Race 1 error ended the hope of any points in his home round but he's highly rated as well and he can bounce back from this.

Zach Austin: Other than races which hurt everyone else, it was Qualifying that hurt the Young American the most and at Pau, it was really tough for people to get through but like Ritter, another highly rated young driver and will defintely bounce back.

Terry Fullerton: Didn't stay on track and it was just a shocking round for him, like above, he can bounce back from this and put it aside.

Tommy Smets: He's only 18 and with the least experience here, he's gaining lots and building what could be a really strong driver in the future.

Thank you and we'll see you for Round 2 around the streets of Monte Carlo.
