NOVA Driver Crisis Talks...
Autopolis; Japan. Manager Adamski and his driver Mack Zaggro pack up and leave for Sportsland Sugo with many, many concerns to address.
The 23 year old British driver looked set to bring home his 4th points haul of an underwhelming debut season in Superb Formula, before a simple puncture stripped him of all his hard work and keen strategy with just a half lap to go, demoting the Brit fifteen places, limping over the line in 23rd...
It's the latest in a long line of misfortunes for the Brit, who was quoted as acknowledging he would struggle financially this season by jumping up to SF, along with an impact to his global standing - which has stagnated since last season on account of mixed results at this level.
This prompted the usual response from his highly impatient manager, to draw a line under his driver's career, which had been a rousing success until joining Superb Formula, and take a punt on a new fledgling driver.
But inter-team communications have surfaced that suggest manager Adamski was basically told to pipe down and crack on, as all careers are presented with the occasional adversity. But Mack is simply not the type to accept finishing P15 (!?) in a championship field having taken silverware away in 3 of his last 5 championships, including the Season 25 F3 Czechoslovakian Series, and is rumoured to be considering ditching open wheelers for a crack at a career in tin-tops in the hope of better fortune...
One thing is for certain. NOVA will be looking to their F1 star driver Paul Dover to balance the books and cut the team some fortune for a season or two... Along with the wheeler-dealings of Dover's manager...
