Press Releases - There’s a Better Way

There’s a Better Way

I have to say that I like this kind of competitions. However, because Slovenia is such a small country, and the competition uses rating as a cap, we will never be able to field 5 drivers and be competitive.

Actually, we would be so uncompetitive that there is no point in trying. Most active managers that would be interested to join the series are doing reasonably well, so driver’s rating is relatively high for their skill set. Prime example is torbar4life with his driver Milan Zakrajšek. On the other hand you have a Wolf Woeger whose rating is almost half of Zakrajšek’s yet he hold most track records.

This system favors big nations with a lot of users. Only nations with drivers that underperform in season series or compete in Formula 1 can be competitive as their driver’s skills are high, but their rating is low.

For example, in this competition top three Slovenian drivers would have a combined rating of 11.641,22 which is already well over a limit. On the other hand, if Poland would use Robert Kubica Jr., Edyta Gorniak and Franciszek Maurer their combined rating would only be 7.465,321.

If you compare combined driver’s skill you would see how much better Poland’s drivers are:
Driving Skills are 288 vs 243 in favor of Poland;
Mental Skills are 291 vs 278 in favor of Poland;
Technical Skills are 295 vs 188 in favor of Poland;
Personal Skills are 292 vs 274 in favor of Poland;
Physical Skills are 292 vs 238 in favor of Poland;

Total difference between two teams is 719 sills.

Therefore, I wish this kind of competitions would use driver’s skill instead of rating. For example, driver’s points would be calculated: Mental Skills + Driving Skills*0,9 + Technical Skills*0,5 + Physical Skills*0,1 and the limit would be something like 1.000 points or maybe even less.

This way more teams could be competitive, competition would be closer and the result would be more representative of managers ability.

Simple there are none of these series that allow 4K drivers to race my series make you choose strengths being top heavy or balanced to be back heavy. Your choice to decide. Poland Russia and France have a lot of old drivers that lost a ton of ratin...
