Press Releases - Incredible season ending with extra achievements

Incredible season ending with extra achievements

As promised, Blazefp's Magazine is getting you the all the news on this legendary end of season and promising kick off for 4th season.

After getting the throne in F2 Europe's Series by some astonishing 152 points difference ahead of the second placed, the 29 years old driver Francisco Pires still managed a perfect custom series on North Europe. And when we say perfect, we mean with no mistakes at all! Every qualification - pole; every race - won, fastest lap and most laps in the lead.

Currently on vacations in his hometown, our favorite decided he could spare a few moments to give us an exclusive interview for our magazine.

Blazefp's Magazine: So, Pires, here you stand, finally home, after a long long series. What can you tell us about it?

Francisco Pires: Well it was definitely not what I had in mind in the beginning of this season. I didn't much know what I was getting myself into when I sign up for the F2 Europe's Series but winning for this amount of points wasn't in my mind for sure. Also improved the ratio win/race for 45% in overall races which is quite satisfying too. And this last North Euro's Custom Series success was simply the cherry on top of the cake, couldn't have gone better, literally!

BM: We heard you made private races with other top driver. What was that all about?

FP: Hah, you're referring to Paolo Grandi. Yes we stay in touch and decided to race each other just for fun on some single races. I ended up winning 2 out of 3 races but he sure confirmed why he's on the top20, he wasn't easy to beat.

BM: It's always nice to see two top competitors getting along. Now about the "cherry on top of the cake"...

FP: I was just stunned! I couldn't believe when I saw the results of the last race.

BM: Yes, but were you expecting this series to be this easy for you?

FP: No! Not at all. I knew this series didn't have many high rated drivers but I surely wasn't expecting a perfect series. Hell, I wasn't even expecting to win every race! This is a big personal achievement for me. But I did it because I believe in my skills as a driver and I'm 100% focused in every race, regardless of my opponents rating or anything. I wan't to win every race and that's the feeling I get to the track.

BM: Moving on to the next season, you're currently signed in Indy's Series, the highest rated series in existence and you're not getting younger, no offense intended. Do you think this is one of your last chance to get to the top?

FP: Nonsense! I'll only retire when I've won every series and every race! I still have more time ahead of me than behind. And you can bet we're aiming high in this Indy's Series. I know it's a completely different league but the goal haven't changed - win everything! Our team is more prepared than ever and it's going to do whatever it takes to reach the most wanted place.

And with this promise, it's time to end. Thanks very much for the preference, this was the end of the season's update from Blazefp's Magazine.
Keep your pedal to the metal.
