Press Releases - Rage against the rookie

Rage against the rookie

Recently Rage Motorsports achieved a few milestones.

All ten Ragers are now rated 1000+
2 Ragers in Trophy of Champions
4 (from a possible 7) Ragers are ranked No.1 in their home nation
The 5th iteration of the Rage custom series started yet again pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Yet when they woke up this morning they found a rookie preaching to them on what makes a good driver.

Brad 'Bad advice' Bundy has an impressive record of 15 wins in 62 races but just where is he racing? Oh. Quick races I hear you say? Where a win can be had just by turning up. No. Worse. Rookie Quick races, against such rivals as Jason Button - known for driving on dry tyres no matter what the weather and Leslie Hamilton - known for driving with one wheel always on the grass so he doesnt fall asleep.

Winning here isnt winning, its learning. We salute your enthusiasm. But heres whats gonna happen.

Your gonna start taking part in rookie series races, where you wont win after two weeks, you might get to watch the young drivers of experienced managers tho, they will be all around you, their lack of drivig skills bolstered by massive databases of car setup data. Then by the end of the season you will be jumping into a real series, maybe in some small country where you will still be up against those guys, but they have had a season of training at 50%+ per day and have now caught up with your driving skills. But worse than that you are up against veteran drivers with 4 or 5 years of training and experience. Wins will be far from sight.

Worse still is you won't be entering quick races with rookies anymore - these will be closed to you, now you will be entering quick races with real drivers that will lap 2secs faster than you...

Then you will realise that 1 season of glory fades fast and that personal skills make a driver that stands the test of time and maybe -if you make the right choices and are lucky- you will reach the top tier and become a great driver.

If anyone wants advice on setting up a new driver feel free to chat to me or any other Rager and we will give you some tips to get you started on the right path...

How To Win and Win Often

Simple formula that is easy to replicate. Problem is personal stats mean so much. If you wan to win early and often starting with 18 build up your racing line is the most important. Followed by tech. early on personal, stuff mean nothing. Strong...
