Rookie Disaster at Daytona

"I started out strong and aggressive. I guess I tempted fate too much." Said the dissapointed rookie, Yuki Yamanaka from the Philippines, after her F3 debut World Ovals race at Daytona.

The driver started at the 25th spot. Undettered, she started the race strong, driving aggressively to make a quick and steady climb. Unfortunately, this strategy backfired when she over-steered her car at turn 3 of the 18th lap. The team was looking for a top 10 finish.

"I thought I could make it, I have faith in my car. I sunk the pedal to the floor as I was entering the floor. I thought I have enough grip to make the turn at a faster than usual speed. The next thing I know, I lost control and spun out. Plain and simple. The good thing is that no one got hurt. We'll be back to race another day."

She'll be back in action at the World Ovals Phakisa 150.
