Youthful exuberance cited as cause of incidence
Alfred, Wayne's long time associate, posted this response about the incident.
"It's quite clear that young Master Wayne's pit crew had their heads up the wrong orifice for the Macau race. Master Wayne immediately stood up and took full responsibility for the incorrect tires. He failed to look at the tread and for that he apologizes to teammates and fans alike.

Section 2 - before Mandarin Oriental Bend
- Bretislav Zatacka (P2) was fighting with Bruce Wayne (P1) for position and did overtake him!
- Mike Shoemaker (P3) was fighting with Bruce Wayne (P2) for position and did overtake him!
- France Clement Stoner (P4) was fighting with Bruce Wayne (P3) for position and did overtake him!
- Rubik Beardy (P5) was fighting with Bruce Wayne (P4) for position and did overtake him!
"It can easily be seen that these four cars had no problem whatsoever blitzing past Master Wayne without incident. Then.....
Section 4 - before Lisboa Bend
- Leonard McCoy (P6) was faster than Bruce Wayne (P5) but made mistake during the maneuver and Bruce Wayne (P5) did not have enough space to avoid crash!
"If one slows the race tape down, young Master McCoy is clearly visible laughing and pointing at Master Wayne and making what can only be described as rude hand gestures."
