Searching for Common Ground and the Future

Realizing tobar4life is one of the key influencers in MRC, it is encouraging to note that he believes that good management should be rewarded and supports the idea of income gap shrinkage.

He's noted that DebiK's solution is to "split the grid in half with cost caps."

This got me thinking a bit more. What if F1 were actually split into 2 divisions? What if each division had the same financial structure with no cost caps, but with reduced income gaps? And then, after a set time (perhaps 2 - 3 seasons or maybe a longer cycle based on the engine change cycle or even any other major component change cycle), what if the top 2 teams in division B replaced the bottom 2 teams in division A? What if races remained unchanged so that all teams could still race against each other, but scoring was based on divisional finishes (i.e. class scoring)? What if start positions were based "inline" (i.e. 1 = 1B,2 1A,3 = 2B,4 = 2A,....) so that pole positions for each division were respected?

I recognize that F1 purists are probably jumping out of their chairs right now and cursing about these Mad Max ideas, but these thoughts are based purely on the idea of strengthening competition within MRC F1, not real-time F1.
