Zut Alors! Warren heads to France for debut season
British driver Jake Warren will spend his first full season of car racing in France, after electing to race in the French F4 Series for the coming season.
The decision to pass on the normal route of the Rookie Series for new drivers was not an easy one to make, but one that Warren's camp believe is the best path for the 18-year-old's career.
"I know it will be a tough season," said Warren. "I'm going to be up against a lot of French drivers who have more experience on the tracks that the championship races. I think I can start off with consistent top tens and challenge for top fives and podiums by the end of the season, that will be a successful season."
Warren has only a handful of races in the Rookie Series under his belt, with a pair of podiums in Barcelona on the final weekend of the season his best result.
In order to ease his move onto the F4 grid, and help his aim of challenging for podiums, he will work with both a brand new Driving Coach and Race Engineer for the first half of the season.
