Playoff Recap from Snyder Autosports
Gateway-
Hicks dominated the start of weekend qualifying on pole and leading first 79 laps before a mishap with pit cycles forced him to have to climb back thru the field. He was flying thru the field only to bow out on lap 101 due to engine troubles. This allowed Doodle and Molloy to comfortably slide up a spot where they would easily pull away from the field. It wasnt over though as Doodle and Molloy would duel to the finish with less than 6 tenths between them at the flag.
Top5 Doodle, Molloy, Colton, Wertel, Jackson.
Mosport-
Shocker as Molloy and Doodle have a horrible race topped off by them making contact early in the race that have Molloy mired deep in the field. Doodles race wasnt ruined by the incident, but his day wasnt done as on lap 35 he would go for a move and end up crashing out of the race. With 2 of the series top dogs out of contention series newcomer Velox found his way to the front where he stayed most of the race on his way to a comfortable win of over 7 seconds.
Top5 Velox, Colton, Murphy, Enright, Jennings.
Bristol-
Unfortunately Bristol was a little dull. Colton's domination of the weekend started early with him topping practice, and then claiming pole. Barring pit stop cycles he led every lap. Doodle got himself an extra point for staying out a lap during the yellow. Hicks did a similar move in order to give himself a bigger buffer to the cut line.
Speaking of the cut line. Coming into the race the gap from 8th to 9th was 11 points. A seemingly solid cushion that ended up not holding. Jackson who was 8th coming in did not have a good race finishing an upsetting 17th, and because of this he ended up missing out on round 2 by a singular point. The driver who displaced him, Wertel, did just enough throughout the race to leapfrog his way in by finishing 9th in both stages, and the race, earning him the necessary 12 points to overtake Jackson. Another driver who just out was mine who came into the race 21 points out of the cut line. Shockingly I had a solid race staying in 7th for most of the race outside of stage 2 where I landed a 5th due to pit cycles. This however ended up in vain as I missed the cut line by a mere 2 points.
Top5 Colton, Doodle, Molloy, Velox, Tripp.
