Press Releases - Seven Racing Pushes All-In for Truck Series Playoffs

Seven Racing Pushes All-In for Truck Series Playoffs

To say that Seven Racing and Snicker Doodle dominated the Truck Series regular season in S39 would be an understatement. The team doubled the next best truck in podium appearances, took 5 wins, and cruised to a 90 point regular season points victory, setting themselves up with a 39-point cushion to the cut line in round 1. However, the team is also on a 6-race winless streak.

"We've been racing pretty passive for the last 6 races. After the win at Kansas the points gap opened up so much that we decided we just wanted to field a competitive truck every week and minimize mistakes to secure the regular season points championship," said Doodle. "We basically sat on Sleepy [Tripp] and Sean [Molloy] to make sure they wouldn't pull back the points gap. We're ready to ratchet up our efforts for the playoffs now."

Snicker Doodle and the Seven Racing team have hit the podium 3 consecutive races after catching a poorly timed caution at Chicagoland that left them with their only finish outside the top 10 this season.

Sources have confirmed that the team has invested heavily in the crew and setups for the key races in the playoffs. When asked about it Seven Racing released a brief statement. "You never know when a chance like this is going to come up. Some of the best drivers in MRC have never won a season series, and we want to make sure our driver has the best chance to get to Phoenix and win this thing, even though it's a lower level series we're sparing no expense on this playoff run."

Snicker Doodle also addressed some breaking news this morning as more information came out about his movements next season. Ema Dillinger's camp quoted a garage source that stated he and with Brian Hicks would be moving up to Silver, while Sleepy Tripp would move to Indy.

"Seven Racing has applied for a spot in Silver, and the intent is for me to be in the seat. I can't confirm anything on Brian, but I did see Sleepy's application to Indy, but we're not really focused on next season right now. The group at Seven Racing is going to do what they need to do to give me a chance to compete at the next level when it's time. But right now, I'm focused on getting through Round 1, which starts with a strong result at Gateway."
