Press Releases - Changes to season series!

Changes to season series!

It was brought to my attention last season about that season series lengths on the upper end series was shortened. The reasoning was explained there are less entries now in real series we attempt to simulate. The real effect is less rating now for every position below 1st in a race. While it very minor for likely positions second and 3rd. Below that it is even greater for example in Indy. Knocking more positions finishing 10th felt like finishing somewhere between 12 and 13 in ratings gain.

Now as for the future of all drivers is your ratings potentail will be greatly reduced. More pressure on finishing first is greater now then 2 seasons ago. More pressure for managers often leads to newer managers to push thier driver even more beyond their drivers skills. Older managers while they might not push thier driver harder. Season series selections evaulations of the competiton in each series becomes even more critical.

There is no doubt this will reduce rating gains everywhere. Drivers will be forced downward so early career gains will be even harder for all new drivers. Less rating mean less money for training. Once agian making series that require less staff more lucrative. Becuase of the saving in staff.

Overall this will definitely be favored by those who Liked changes in training rates. Becuase this will have a larger impact on drivers overall skill levels. The adding of new skills would have done that just fine on its own.

The old tracks records before all these changes will become more and more difficult for new drivers to reach. Making it seem like they was better then the new. Whether that is true we will never know now.

What is my view on this. I just do not know for now. My gut instinct thinks we are moving in the wrong direction. It's now my call to make. Just as certain series are gone forever Like F2 racing and Indy International. i would not trade either for TCR series or Moto racing. Once again I am just a player like everyone else. my love is for 4 wheel racing like the majority fans. Further I enjoy Team aspect of all sports so without a pit crew there is no Team.

So we just live what it is. Enjoy the new challenges and pray more people enjoys the challenges over those who will leave over them. Just pray we can continue racing for years to come afterwards.

In the past I have made few press releases about the way rating is structured in MRC and how it discourages on track competition and on track rivalries. As I have said before, you are penalized if you want to compete with other driver and you are rew...
