Race Broadcast Update + Changes for Season 59

Race Broadcast Update + Changes for Season 59

It's never too late to inform you about the game's development and some changes made for the new season.

Race Broadcast Update + Changes for Season 59

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since the last time we spoke to you directly about My Racing Career. The past few months have been a bit difficult for the MRC Team, but we can proudly say that, after exactly two years, the development of the new UI has finished, including all the F1 team management pages. Some of our members are testing those and will be published in the public version of the game at the end of this week.

Apart from Formula 1, the screens where we have invested most of our time are those for race broadcasts. The new model is much more advanced in terms of code. The database now stores time gaps after every 'minisector' of each one of the +2000 tracks in the game, making it much more precise. This also allows us to show live positions on the track, including when drivers enter the pitlane or when they overtake another car. Among other updates to the race broadcast feature:

- Race/quali/stages speed has been enhanced, meaning that there are now three different speeds (slow = x0,4; normal = x1, fast = x4).
- The left panel during races has now 4 options: gap to the leader, gap to the previous driver, pitstops, and tyre information. You can now select what you prefer or leave it to automatic rotation.
- The right panel during races shows key information about the fastest lap or leader changes. It will be eventually improved to add some additional info.
- Driver highlighting when clicking on the left panel has been adjusted. Now the leader will feature green color, your own driver will have yellow color, and other drivers' colors can be adjusted.
- The race speed has been adjusted to be slower on very short tracks and to be faster on very long circuits.

There are also planned updates:
- Adding more colors for highlighting, automatic colored teammates, friends, drivers of the F1 team you are a fan of, drivers of your racing club...
- Review options to zoom track map to see a more detailed broadcast, focusing on a selected driver.
- Several broadcast bug fixes

The only thing you need to know is that the time of storage of all this detailed data in the database is limited:
- For Quick Races = 5 hours
- For Single Races and Custom Series races = 5 days
- All the remaining (Season Series, Clubs, Nations, Private Series...) = 10 days

We hope you enjoy this new way of watching MRC races and we are open to any suggestions. If you find any bugs or errors, either on the race broadcast screens or on any screen of the new GUI, please report them in the Beta Testing form.

OTHER MINOR CHANGES
- Coins can now be sent from one manager to another in the new GUI.
- Calendars for Moto1/2/3/E, TCS World and TCS Europe series have been updated to their 2025 counterparts.
- New models for F2, F3 and F4 series cars.
