Thoughts

I share some of your thoughts torbar, and that's why I'm involved too, in order to help make MRC better.

On the first group, new users are indeed hard to keep. Superlicense for a month might help, would give them more time to settle in and decide if it's worth paying up.
There's also something we might have to pay attention to: many online games offer some kind of "instant" reward, some "catch" that makes people want to play again and again.
Now, I'm not saying MRC should be easier or change completely, but perhaps we should find some sort of "catch" that makes new users stay longer. Add short-time challenges, maybe?

Ours is not a game like Candy Crush, where you play a screen and in a couple of minutes you've progressed to the next one, especially at the beginning.
Also, a mobile app would greatly help. If things could be done with a few taps on our mobiles, it would also help keep people in.

About the second group, I'd suggest adding more team management in series other than F1. After a manager has reached F1 and possibly even won races or the title, I can see it being hard for that person to keep motivated. So perhaps an option of retiring and going into managing teams (while creating a young driver) would appeal to people for staying?
I know many people are against it, but wouldn't it be great if you could create a team in F3 Spain and make it progress, then going up to F3 Euro, F3 World, F2 and F1? Or F3 USA, then go up to Indy Junior and finally reach Indy? Or start in TCS Benelux, then go up to TCS Europe then TCS World?
The game would no longer be only about the guy who trains his driver better, but would also have competition between teams. Perhaps the manager who's good at training drivers wouldn't be so good at managing teams?

I've heard of veteran users thinking of leaving because they don't have time too.

As far as rating is related, upping the rating of the higher series could solve the problem? Also, drivers who finish not so well in F1 shouldn't lose as much rating - as cars do play a part there. Nobody would rate Fernando Alonso out of the top 50 drivers but after three bad years in MRC F1 he would've lost a lot of rating...

The Venting thread on the Worldwide Forum made me think why so many users quit this game. I think we have to split users in two groups for that. In the first group we have new users. They usually quit in first few days. We all know that first few ...

More Thoughts on our great game

I really like the fact that a number of experienced MRC managers are stepping up and noting that there appears to be a problem in retaining new users. While I'm a relatively new user compared to some of these old timers, I too have noted how difficu...

Firstly I'd like to say, I really like this game! I've been here since the BETA season in 2011 (now I feel old...) And frankly, the Devs have done a great job with additions and progression, while still running their day to day commitments! It's a so...
