新闻 - Dewhurst in Poor Form

Dewhurst in Poor Form

Recently a young racing driver, Albert Dewhurst, crashed out in two of his three recent races. It has been a tough start to his career although he is still showing promise.

Despite his obvious lack of pace in all races, he has shown a calm driving style matched with a willingness to learn. Although the results are not coming up, he is clearly improving.

'I think that young Albert will get along fine. Although the results haven't been on his side he has shown determination in training. We plan on him entering a Formula 3 series this year although we are currently aiming low, he lacks the prestige to enter a higher tournament. Still, if he can continue his current growth and continue to work hard alongside his trainer, Tudorel Brosovsky then he will become a star for the future. He is only eighteen and has the best years of his career far ahead of him.' - Dewhurst's manager, Franco Pell.

Despite the optimistic words of his manager, Dewhurst is yet to deliver and show his potential. His entrance into several races will give him the experience he needs to become a better driver although he is far from the top currently.

We managed to catch a word with the still upbeat Dewhurst.

GPE: Albert, how are you feeling after two consecutive crashes?

AB: Better than I expected to be honest! I was weakened after Mexico City where my transmission cut out but I have recovered since then. Luckily my crash in France was not severe and I look forward to continuing racing there.

GPE: About Mexico City, was your DNF a result of a mechanical fault or did you push the car too hard?

AB: I'm still unsure. I have been reassured that the car is sound but I myself have doubts over whether I forced the car too much. I was driving conservatively at the time so I guess it's just one of those things that you can't help.

GPE: Finally, can you give us any insight into your driving style?

AB: I like to drive safely, concentration is not my strongest point although I am working on improving it. Maybe in the future I will drive more aggressively but for now I seek to learn the tricks of the trade and race in a controlled manner.

This concludes this article, the question is though, will we see Albert continue his run of bad form?
