First news about LKR - season 18

dear MRC community,

today was an importnat day in LKR team operations. while we have been working and planing the new car for season 18 silently in the background, today both of us (the owners) had a family reunion and talked about our next strategic decisions.

to sum it up: based on the day of the season, LKR has never faced a better situation in its history. the financial balance is positive, and a healthy team economics for this season are ensured. that is something we as a team never accomplished before. we will also be able to surprise with new parts, in a quality never seen before build into a LKR car.

we are also quiet optimistic to have our car ready for the first qualification. while we have been used to present the final car with the start of the european races, this time we think that it is realistic to have it done much earlier.

we know that we still have minor parts to develop to close the gap to the top 8 teams even further. still we are happy with our progress so far. our decision to take another step back in season 17, so we are ready for season 18, will turn out to be what the team needed a long time ago.

so what is next for LKR:
beside the development of new car parts, we are planing to use a chassis design again. we did not use one for some season, simply cause we thought that our poor car does not deserve one.

also long time driver and majority team owner edis10 is planing to retire Diesel from Formula 1. he made tht decision some seasons ago, but continued to stay with the team, cause the team needed a paying driver more than anything else. if we manage to find a new driver, who is willing to invest in LKR, he will pull out and start to manage a new promising driver, while still staying highly engaged with team leadership.
