Rookie Series Analysis After the 8th Week

Hi friends and racing fans

This week the 8th round of the Rookie Series has come to a conclusion.
Lets take a look at the upcoming talent on display in the Rookie Series.

Fisrtly with a string of consistent performances Tiago Tejo has a firm grip on the top spot. The young 18yr old Portuguese driver has a clear lead of at least 70 points at the top of the table. The future is clearly very bright for the young man. The Italians G .Vergna and C.Igiri are on second and third position respectively.

On the other hand if we look at Rookie Series from the national perspective....the future of Italian motorsport looks the brightest. 6 out of the top 10 racers in the series are Italians. Next come the French who have 2 members in the top 10. The Germans have 1 and the Portuguese have the leader, Tejo in the top 10. So its domination of the Europen contingent all the way.

The domination continues even if we expand our window to the top 30. Only 3 drivers are from outside Europe. P.Hunt on number 11 from USA is the only represntative from the North American continent. M.Summit on position 13 from India is the only representative from Asia and Banes Vaughn from Australia on 27 being the only racer in the top 30 from Oceania. Unfortunately the African and South American continents have no representation in the top 30

If we expand our horizon to the top 100...the situation definitely improves for South America as there are quite a few Brazilian and Argentinians in the top 100. On the other hand it gets worst for Oceania (only two racers Vaughn (11) and Marshall(65)). It also gets worse for Asia (only two racers Summit(13) and Abraar (96)). The worst hit is the African continent with just a single representative in the top 100 - the South African de Villiers in position 62.

Looks its going to be an all European rookie season lead by Tiago Tejo
