F1: Audi focuses on s16: offers coins for votes.

As S14 draws to a close and the dust settles Audi Motorsport has a lot to be happy about and a lot to be disappointed in. The S14 car was an improvement over S13's model, but other teams such as BMW Motorsports, Senna & Williams also improved and by mid season it was clear that the Audi was lacking in performance.

But all was not lost, two people never gave up, never stopped pushing and dragged the car into the points more times than it deserved. The Drivers Tök & Botta were the heroes this season deserving full credit for the 8th place we achieved.

With the performance gap and the new engine requirments looming for s16 the teams designers knew we would need to do something different to gain the lost ground and as such the team owners decided to not develop the s15 car beyond its basic level. As such S15 will be a tough season. Points will be unlikely and as such we discussed the situation with both drivers.

Botta, who has raced with the team for two seasons, has chosen to move on and compete in the NASC championship this season. He is currently rated 6th in that series, but we all know that this rating is artificially low and he will likely compete for the championship. We wish him all the best and thank him for his massive efforts with the team.

Tök was planning to retire this season, but after some heated debate has been conviced to remain with the team for one more season. His tactics and massive efforts have helped the team this season and if anyone can score a point I. Our S15 car then it is this man.

Joining him is the reigning three time Formula E champion and UK no1 Jonas Gudas. A rookie in F1 but a well experienced driver we look forward to seeing him fighting with the other teams on the grid. Assuming he remembers where the petrol goes ;)

So will all focus on S16 Audi are preparing for the worst. And with that in mind we are looking to increase our voting points donation for next season. To encourage donations we will now be offering Coins for Points
