From Winless to Carrying a Country

Upon the announcement of the Nations' Cup, Americans knew Bruce Wayne would be a contender for the USRA A1 team. Looking at his record, it was obvious that his consistency would be helpful to the team. The elephant in the room, however, was that Mr. Wayne had yet to record a win at any level in just over 5 full seasons of racing.

Little did the stars and stripes realize, Wayne was setting up to become the new face of racing in the USA. He quietly spent the last few seasons a member of RAGE Motorsports, an international contingency of, now 7, drivers from 5 countries who banded together to help each other grow. His fellow American RAGE driver, Nick Wheeler pulled in most of the American press attention with his more outspoken aggressive style, but Wayne quietly recorded good results and spent his time growing as a driver.

Then, out of nowhere, Season 13 hit. Wheeler's manager was voted president of the United States Racing Association, and it was obvious that Wayne would have his chances early in the Nations' Cup. And so he did. By week 3, nwheel had decided that Wayne had earned a permanent seat in the USRA A1 machine.

Outside of the Nations' Cup, not only did Wayne record his first career win, he earned the top step 4 times between weeks 2 and 3. He fittingly won an RAGE sponsored custom series - his first series victory, and has since gone on to win 7 more times, including an F2 Africa victory and 3 dominating pole-to-checkers single race victories.

We reached out to Wheeler for a reaction to our report, and he had this to say:

"We have a few winners in this country, but Bruce is setting a new standard of racing this season. He's the only one of us that's even close to the Trophy of the Champions, he's going to be our #1 ranked driver by season's end, and he's stepped up and carried our A1 team all season. He's an animal all of a sudden, and I freaking love it."

Wayne, known as "Mr. Consistency" to his RAGE teammates, because he rarely makes mistakes in his setup or on-track, has been patient in awaiting his breakout season. It seems it has finally come, just in time for him to ascend to the top of American racing.
