新闻 - Epic Vale

Epic Vale

The day has finally arrived, where British Rookie Noah Vale steers away from single races and gets the chance to pit himself against competition of a similar ranking level.

Good fortune befell the youngster last week as he was drawn in the field to head to Donington, a short distance from his own home town, to contest what will likely be his only appearance at this level before seasons end.

The boy in the Pepsi Max Crew car took to the track, and gave the home crowd precisely what they were after, not just Pole position, but pole position by a staggering 1.147 seconds!

"This is unprecedented..." said manager Adamski.

"We were confident of challenging for pole, but to be an entire second clear of 2nd place is incredible. Noah has been highly competitive since arriving just ten days ago, we are making regular appearances in the Top 10 in qualifying for single races, our Custom Series is going very well, Qualifying in the Top 5 on two occasions and 6th on the other, we're ranked 26th amongst the participating drivers and we're sat 12th in the standings with two points finishes, and regrettably a double DNF in Round 1 while running in the points, so we could have been looking at 7th/8th! We're beating guys rated over and above 800.00 in our first week!? This result here at Donington has confirmed the pace we were hoping we had!"

Moving on to Season 13, Adamski was asked of his candidacy for President of the UK Motorsport Association which was reported this morning.

"Yeah, funny story, I was actually approached by a few guys who, before I had even considered applying, said they would support my bid if I were to register. This sort of support from your peers, who we race week on week in tough competition, really puts us in good spirits. How could I not apply!?"

With an exclusive first interview, our veteran reporter Mike Raffone walked with Vale through the Donington paddock, and asked him a question on several people's minds.

MR: "So you'll be racing one of the two junior slots for UK National next season if Adamski is elected?"

NV: "No, I don't see why I should... His statement is true, he will most definitely lead with six drivers he believes will be the most competitive for the nation. My being his driver has no semblance to that. Sure the UK is down some key drivers, Ray Striver has retired, Biguel Maines has quit the sport and the RAGE boys have both sought to back new young drivers, if anything the Senior team is harder to call than the Junior. Sure, there's no doubt I'd jump at the chance, but I am not guaranteed a slot, I have to earn it, same as anyone..."

So, it seems young Noah is reserved on his chances at a National drive, despite his dominant performance on track today? We wait to see if his qualifying prowess can manifest into his first career win on Thursday.
