新闻 - Merkel drops the Hammer!

Merkel drops the Hammer!

"Finally, FINALLYYYY, Merkel showed what he got and what he is capable of, when he is focusing on racing!", an excited Manager Fixboy stated after the second race of the F2 World Series at the Algarve Race Track this Sunday.

The weekend started already pretty good for the German, when he put down the fastest lap in the Quali, claiming his first pole ever in the F2 World Series. The Friday Sprint was then a clear case for Merkel, who, by finishing First, also claimed his first victory ever in this Series.

Everybody was now looking at the Sunday race. Those who followed the F2 World Series for a while, knew that Merkel has had problems finishing on both days in the past. So as came as no surprise that his Manager looked a little stressed before the race.

But when the race started, Merkel showed his class and an outstanding performance. Having decided to go for one stop instead of no stop, he needed to put enough space between him and the rest of the field. And he did. Halfway through the race, he pulled into the box, got fresh tires and fuel and left the pit lane, still with a lead. All that was left was to finish now. This time Merkel stayed concentrated and the car kept running like being brand new.

Finally Merkel past the chequered flag first and by winning again, took the lead in the F2 World Series.

The whole team was absolutely ecstatic and with the freh confidence from this weekend, heads now to Merkels Home Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.

Good luck.
