The system works fine!
Well this looks like a joke setting, rather than problems with the system.
To clear it up for the ones who do not know it yet. The manual gives you a guideline how to play the game. It is a nice help at the start. Not more, but not less. This is done on purpose. If everything is explained in detail in the manual, you would just have to copy it, and never discover anything else on your own. Me personally like that fact about the manual very much.
About the right setting when it comes to mixed weather conditions:
- It is well know and widely spread in the forum, that the optimal changing condition is when the rain on the track is around 30%
- What you have to do is to follow the formula: dry tires + wet tires divided by 2! The result should be 30!
- Examples how to do it: Slicks for dry conditions 10 / Wets for wet conditions 50
- If you add this 2 values, you get 60, divided by 2, you get 30! This is only an example. You can use any numbers that add up to 50 and are 30 when divided by 2!
- This is how it is done, there are no other possibilities!
About the tolerance:
- if you set your tolerance at 10, than your basic level is 30 (if you follow the instructions above) and you have to split the 10 equaly above and under 30. So you get 25 and 35 as a result.
- So if you start your race at slicks and the weather changes, your driver will not change the tires, until the conditions are higher than 35%.
- Same if you do it the other way around. You will change to slicks, when the conditions are under 25%!
All informations are available on the forum, since we discussed it there many times. If you think, that you have done everything correctly, and assume a bug, than let us know, we can take a look into your settings and tell you if you have been wrong or if there is a bug.
Me personally assume that there is no bug and that the system works fine for over 2 years now.
Joke System/Glitch
So i've tried everything. Literally everything in wet/dry races and i get shafted every time. I've had tolerances from 1 to 40 trying to stay on slicks when my stop comes on a 10% track and i'm always forced to wets. Same goes for when i need to swit...
