Splaah n Dash robs Harvey of First win
Trevor Harvey has been close to winning races for some time now, and today was his best chance in the 2nd Lucky Djursland race. Having taking a bold move pitting on Lap 41 of 110 for fuel and tyres under the Safety Car, not even a second one laps later could help him preserve his fuel, as he ended up pitting on the Penultimate Lap for a Splash'n'Dash, relegating him to his starting position of 3rd. He had led ever since the rest of the field pitted under the second Safety Car on Lap 55, and was in tears when he arrived in Parc Ferme. He eventually spoke out to the media later on, and he was still struggling for words.
"I'm still just absolutely dejected at right now. I can't believe all that fuel saving I had done whilst defending 1st from Milan (Dermisek) for half the race came to nothing. I should be proud of this going down as another podium for me, but it feels like a DNF."
The Question Trevor will be asking is 'where and when will it happen?' He's been close in the F3 Dutch Series this season, had opportunities in the previous 2 F3 Australian Series, especially Eastern Creek in the wet, had an amazing opportunity at Motegi last season, just 1.6 seconds from victory, and today he was luckless yet again.
