Master Procrastinator

Veteran manager Adamski was scripting an apology this morning... to his own driver!?

The reason being that, not for the first time this season, Ray Striver failed to show up for pre-race practice at Bucharestring as the green flag dropped a very short time after Adamski signed his driver up to the event, forcing Striver to qualify on 50's and subsequently wind up 14th.

"I dunno what to say" he said. "I'm a busy man. I'll commit to a race event and think to sort out practice, then before i know what's happened its two hours later and we missed the boat. Fortunately it has only been in Single Races, but it has happened too often. Maybe five or six times this season alone. Today was a front row opportunity missed."

This comes in the same week that Adamski and fellow manager iHealy come to an agreement on the long-argued team name saga in light of a number of unofficial F3/F2 teams coming to the fore. Like McLaren and Windsor F1 affiliates, and the well-publicised RAGE Motorsport, Ray Striver and Biguel Maines will drive under the banner of Crazy Torque.

"This is more in the name of friendly rivalry than anything. Our drivers have competed in tandem since BETA, it only seemed fitting they have a team title to link with".

But what sort of impression will Crazy Torque give. With Striver missing races in order to go and eat a full rack'o'ribs and Maines missing Road America for an undisclosed reason, starting the race on 5% slicks!? The guys seem more keen on enjoying the finer things in life than getting in the garage.

But it worked for Hesketh F1 in the 70's...

Ray Striver is definitely one of my favorite driver names in the game. :)
