With a 36-point advantage over Slovak Juraj Salata, and only 25 more to be contested this Sunday at the Interlagos Race, Alexandrina Mascarenhas, 24, is just entering to fill in the final round of the South American F3. The Brazilian driver, who despite being less experienced than the European veteran, has shown greater consistency, with 13 pole positions and scoring points in seventeen of the nineteen races of the season already contested, feats that have not been matched by any other driver.

Happy with the result, the young driver with an extremely long name seems excited about her career. Even though she is in the shadow of other excellent brazilian drivers of her generation, such as João Carlos Eduardo (NASC Silver) and Rodrigo Rocca (North American F3), Alexandrina celebrates her good phase while planning her future carefully.

"I haven't decided where I'm going next yet. I have to sit down with the people at RTech, with John, my manager, and with Laura Buhler, the Personal Assistant. We're analyzing the possible categories, seeing where I can achieve better results."

While discussing her career options for the near future and preparing for a well-deserved break, Alexandrina continues to think about her training.

"Right now, I'm looking for more maturity on the track. This season, the good results, the training sessions and the visits to the psychologist helped a lot. I feel much calmer in the car, I'm able to concentrate much better than at the beginning of the season. I've been making a lot fewer mistakes, and that's a good sign. Now that I have more control over myself, I feel it's time to be more daring, to be more courageous in the cockpit. That's what I want to work on from now on. I have at least three more seasons before I win anything again..." - said the driver, jokingly.

Interestingly, Alexandrina has a good relationship with "third" seasons. Having started her career in Season 50, she spent three seasons in F4, with stints in the Spanish and German categories, before winning her first title, the Italian F4 Championship in S53. After that, she spent three more seasons in South American F3, until she won another title, which came on Friday, with a second place in the Sprint race. "Third time's always the charm, apparently!"

However, the Brazilian can't afford to make a mistake. If she keeps counting by threes, her opportunity could clearly pass her by in a season that isn't among the multiples...
