Pressmeddelanden - The devil is definitely in the details!

The devil is definitely in the details!

Thank you for your response torbar4life.

Of course, the devil is in the details.

When you make a comparison about spending between Red Bull and LKR to the benefit of attracting better sponsors, you are only amplifying the point of the importance of revenue. You just can't spend it if you don't have it.

The same goes for the ability to find new employees and even drivers. I still recall a certain individual who told me he wouldn't accept an offer to drive for anyone other than one of the top 2 teams. It's no coincidence that the top teams always seem to attract the top drivers. That simply serves to enhance my suggestion that most drivers want the ability to be able to be competitive.

I appreciate that you have added some clarity to this topic, but really must point out that it seems disappointing that you might suggest that conclusions were being made about the first season of new rule changes to engines. I certainly don't believe I made that statement. None of us have a crystal ball, but anyone who understands the importance of statistical analysis will tell you the history and success leave behind clues that help to clarify what may potentially happen. The intention of analysis is to seek out correlations that may provide insight, and my interpretation is based simply upon those details.

As you have noted there are 2 strong teams, and I have no reason to doubt that you have insight that drives you to the belief that one of those teams may falter somewhat in the future. Would dropping to the number 5 position make them any less successful, will it make F1 any better, will it enhance the competitiveness of all teams, will it attract more participation from our membership, and will it help our developer grow and promote his business? Those are some serious details. Does the devil lay within them, or simply within the individuals that would attempt to defend in an attempt to resist change. Or alternatively, does the devil lay within those who propose to make a change?

We really need to understand that it's not the data that is an issue, but simply that people often fail to understand that as individuals we all see the world and its events from different perspectives. The funny thing is that if we're being honest in our expressions, each of us right, yet at the same time we may all be wrong. That's a perspective that I believe few understand, yet those that do find that they are most adaptive to learning new things and adapting to changes.

However, just looking at numbers will not tell you why. For me at least, “why” is very important. You will not get to why with statistics. Making conclusions before the first season is even over is a big no-no to me. Engine cycle is 8 to 9 seasons...

Wanted to add some context

I just wanted to point out that big portion of that gap in not just due to team ranking. Drivers are also one of the reasons why it’s so hard to topple Red Bull. We were fortunate that we could attract very good driver with high rating even when we w...
