Rules........
It seems to me that we always have the same pointless discussion… and not just here. If you follow NFL, LKR situation surely reminded you about Jesse James TD catch for the Steelers against the Patriots.
Why don’t we then discuss harsh and unfair rules, that don’t make sense, before they get violated? This MRC rule (or that in NFL) is not discriminatory to anyone, there were no special circumstances, so at least for me, any discussion about punishment (ruling) is moot after the fact.
On top of that we all (should) know the rules and the consequences they bring. It’s time people start taking responsibility for their actions. I doubt there would be any public outcry for more lenient punishment, if it was about other manager, for example braveheart.
If we start adjusting rules according to users/teams that breach them, then we start to discriminate, and to me this kind of system is even more unjust.
If I quota Franklin D. Roosevelt “Rules are not necessarily sacred, principles are.”
I also want to talk about deadlines. In my line of work, I deal with them all the time and I always try to finish my task/project as soon as possible. You never know what might happen tomorrow. On the other hand, same people always struggle to meet them… I don’t understand why they always wait for the last possible second.
Furthermore, every single deadline in this game has a very long window of time for execution. I really don’t know how can some call it arbitrary… I doubt any team can come up with legitimate excuse for not meeting any of them. Every manager can appoint assistants to help him/her out…. If they don’t, it’s their fault.
I don’t have anything but sympathy toward LKR and edis10, but to say it truthfully, LKR are poorly managed. I know and understand his reasoning, but should he get special treatment because of it?
I guess it's up to Commissioner to decide...
