Bauer questioned, insists he's not Robin.
Despite accusations that the 22 year-old American was one of several drivers playing the part of Batman's apprentice and crime-fighting associate, Robin, the young American stubbornly insisted at a hastily arranged press conference that he had no knowledge of any such heroics.
"Man, I just show up on race-day and drive fast." the young American responded, while hastily untucking his shirt and pulling it down past his pouch-laden belt.
"Wouldn't know anything about this whole Robin thing. Bruce Wayne's one hell of a driver though. And so are Barker and Cheever."
The young man stuck heavily to his cue cards through-out the press-conference, and carefully avoided any bird-related comments or humor.
"Now if you don't mind, I need to stop out at Way-- err, at a friend's house to help him fi- ugh, move."
The young American then shot a grappling hook through a sky-light and was lifted mechanically from the room.
