Number 1 Malaysian Driver beaten by a young Malaysian rookie
The number 1 Malaysian Driver, Hafizuddin Rashid, was lost to a new young rookie driver, Arif Firman, in a Quick Race on Autodromo Luanda. In the Qualifications, it was obvious that Arif Firman drove recklessly on his first attempt and had 4 obvious mistakes. While Hafizzudin Rashid, had no mistakes and his attempt went good. But then, Arif Firman made a comeback on his second attempt by driving well and beating Hafizzudin Rashid's best time by a stunning one second gap. Arif Firman, the young rookie driver started 23rd, while Hafizzudin Rashid, stared 26th.
On the racing scene, both of the Malaysian Drivers did well on their starting. Suprisingly, Arif Firman is already 14th on the 7th Lap, while Hafizzudin Rashid struggles to get to the top 20 and staying at 21st. It was sad that Arif Firman did two big mistakes on the 11th lap and spun. He dropped to position 19th but doesn't give up. The race ended with Arif Firman finishing in 17th while Hafizzudin Rashid finished 20
After the race, some of the media members rushed to the young rookie and asked what is it he feels beating his country's top rated driver,the young Malaysian rookie, Arif Firman, answers "It was a very good race for me, and I am really thankful to the mechanics who sets up my car to the best they could, even though there was two big mistake from me but I am surprised that I could beat my country's top rated driver. His manager also congratulated me! "
