Trent looking to fulfill "rags to riches" story
Max Trent, a young, unknown in the auto racing world, will take on the best drivers in the world as he throws his hat into the world of professional auto racing. Trent, who ironically has never received his civilian driver's license, is confident that he can hold his own as he joins the ranks of other newcomers and veterans alike. "My dad (team owner Brock Trent) is a great driver, and he trained me. He grew up in NASCAR country in North Carolina, and spent many of his formidable years watching short track racing at places like South Boston Speedway and Bowman Gray Stadium. He also was a competitive go kart racer. He is also working with me on the mental, maturity aspect of the business. I'm confident that with his guidance and leadership, as well as the team and crew we've put in place, that we will be successful." Team owner Brock Trent adds, "We know it's going to be a learning process, but we're confident that we have all the right pieces in place to be successful. The people are what make any team or business successful, and we feel that we have a great, highly talented group of people here."
