U22, U26 AND 27+ Challenges!

First off, season 44's U21 & U26 championship went off really well, and we had some new faces come to the forefront.

That being said for this season I have decided to also run a 27+ championship. I cant wait to see who comes out of the woodwork. Will we see some young hungry driver take the crown? Or how about some old geezer whose glory days have passed? We will have to wait and see.

Alright now to the task at hand. This is how season 44's challenges shook out.

U21 first-

Part 1 saw Cobos win ahead of Shiffrin, and Patrese.

Part 2 saw Campolargo win ahead of Patrese, and Shiffrin.

The overall standing after combining part 1 and 2 would wind up likes this-

1st M. Shiffrin 1'578 points
2nd F. Campolargo 1'538 points
3rd P. Patrese 1'517 points
4th A. Cobos 1'491 points
5th W. Simoni 1'348 points

Shiffrin may not have won either of the individual trophies, but they can enjoy knowing they won the fictitious overall trophy. Their consistency thru the season meant by the end they were atop the mountain.

Now for U26-

Part 1 was won by Bellamy, followed by Asen, and Starostachev.

Part 2 was won by Asen, follwed by Halepova, and Bellamy.

The overall standing after combining part 1 and part 2 would wind up like this-

1st V. Asen 1'634 points
2nd E. Bellamy 1'615 points
3rd T. Boutsen 1'469 points
4th S. Halepova 1'460 points
5th I. Llach 1'356 points

Asen and Bellamy had a hell of a scrap all season, but Asen stuck close enough during part 1 that their surge in part 2 meant they were able win the overall.

Congrats and thanks to all who participated, and won. Its been great hosting these. This seasons challenges will begin here soon, and I cant wait to see who comes out on top this time!
