Comunicate de presă - Lyn finished 4th in Premiere Oval series

Lyn finished 4th in Premiere Oval series

Despite showing quite a bit of promise, Lyn Vos has never achieved a top 5 finish in a series in the past. But she finally managed to impress during an entire series by taking 4th in the Premiere Oval series.

Meanwhile she qualified 9th for the American series. Things seem to be looking up for the 19 year old youngster. We met up with her as she was preparing for the short Santo Damingo race.

4th in a series is an impressive feat. How proud are you?

I'm over the moon! I know it doesn't seem like that great of a feat. But consider that the top 2 drivers were ranked within the top 100 of the entire world. Out of everyone else, only Dhawan was able to beat me. And there were plenty of other strong drivers out there. Honestly Dhawan did amazingly well to take 3rd.

What about the North American series? Last week you struggled during the actual races.

Yeah. I really thought I'd be able to score a point. But I think I just pushed a little too hard. I made a few key mistakes, and that ended up costing me. But I'd rather focus on the positives. I've qualified 9th, which is my best result yet. If I can hold onto 9th, I'll be really happy.

One of your self proclaimed rivals, Nick Wheeler, finished 4th in the Tour de France? Any thoughts.

Even though I want to beat Nick and the rest of Rage. Doesn't mean I can't respect their driving. I think Nick's result in France is amazingly good. Just look at who he was up against. But more than that, I was just happy to hear him talk about his result again. I feel like all this stuff about whether or not Rage broke any rules has brought the wrong kind of attention to the sport. I feel like it might finally be blowing over. Which is good, now we can return our attention to fighting it out on the track.

A Hungarian driver named Peter Lukacs mentioned you when he talked about his career and his participation in the African series.

I heard about that! I'm already inspiring people! Soon the entire world will recognize me as the best driver ever!

In all seriousness though. I'm really honored. And I think it's great that more drivers are getting involved. It's a little crazy that I've inspired someone and he's already doing better than I am.
