Comunicate de presă - The Rally Scene - Season 46 (Sort of...)

The Rally Scene - Season 46 (Sort of...)

So, straight up, I don't really have the time to invest in the rally series breakdown reports these days, especially now that there is an additional series to cover. But I absolutely cannot pass up the opportunity to congratulate Andito and Visvaldis Ceļš; MRC's new World Rally Champion!

Ceļš has been hot on the heels of established "veteran" (at age 26) Wynn Hunter, who claimed 4 successive titles on the bounce, and was fiercely closing the gap season after season, but none more-so than Season 46. Ceļš remarkably matched Hunter's feat of winning all 14 rounds of the series, and now sets his sights on toppling Hunters record of a 21 win unbeaten run!

The dominance of these two drivers has highlighted a need for change in the core rally format, something I know has been teased, and hopefully will launch before too long to shake-up the series a little! Good luck to Ceļš winning the next three series championships, so by Season 50, these two four-time champions could go toe-to-toe for an unfathomable 5th ;)
