Comunicados de Imprensa - Influence of Sponsorship
Influence of Sponsorship
Sponsorship can make or break someones 'racing career' in both real and virtual worlds, in the modern day F1 drivers of the lesser teams are majorly influenced by their financial backing.
Pastor Maldonado, infamously known for the Pastor Maldonado Seal of Approval meme as a result of his wreckless driving, was one of those who without the backing of Venezuela's national oil company (PDVSA) would most certainly have never competitively driven an F1 car, let alone a Williams to victory in the 2012 Spansish Grand Prix - marred by the pit garage fire following understandable celebrations.
That is a prime example of how sponsorship has a major influence in real life racing, but how does it affect virtual racing? Specifically My Racing Career. Well it is in fact in a huge way, particularly if you're my driver Isaac Hunt who has four mechanics that resemble the knowledge of four blind men attempting to read a map - clueless.
I've been told that success and a PR Manager is the key to moving forward in the sponsorship game, now I ask myself how do I improve and acquire a PR Manager? Money. Where do I get this money from when starting off in this game? Sponsorship. It is a revolving cycle that essentially requires some luck and nouse, take Maldonado again for example who knew at the time the Venezuelan President very well therefore improving an already lucrative sponsorship deal.
Sponsorship is unquestionably an influencing factor in My Racing Career and real life motorsport however the extent of this influence is decdided by the level you are at. For me this is a very low level, with my latest and third sponsorship deal though I do hope this low level of performance will be lifted.
