[DTWS] Changing scenario may favor Brazilian driver.
German touring series has just made it to it's 7th race, at Zandvoort track. And some unexpected changes in the scenario can be pointed out that's likely to change the original outcome of the series.
The retiremend of russian driver Galimov (current 3rd with 70 points) and Rengards (5th, 58 points) have created a vacuum in the standinds to be exploited by the midpack.
At the front, it's still an all-out battle between the ex-F1 drivers: Canadian Vanderpuije leads 130 (3 wins, 4 poles, 6 fast laps) to 128 over Swiss Rapido (4 wins, 3 poles).
Next come the midpack, with Fomenko leading with 66 points, bringing cloese the Brazilian duo Relampago (58 in 6th) and Hoffmann (55 in 7th). This group will likely soon get over the retirees and fight for the 3rd spot in the standings, with an edge in favor of Fomenko owing to his 8+ extra seasons of training over the Brazilians.
Below these, the 'rear pack' closing the top10 has Radisavljevic, Morkel, Forza and Brabec one step behind, but stil able to bit a top5 spot when anyone on the front mades a mistake.
More on the subject in a couple of weeks, guys.
