Mercedes Shareholders on the Same Page
The fight for controlling the board room of the Mercedes team is finally over. As soon as the shares of the major stakeholder of Mercedes Braveheart had come in the market, a fierce fight had ensured between various factions. Ultimately however it was a private investor who became the new majority shareholder, leaving the various competing factions red faced.
As per comments from internal sources, the decisions taken by the new majority share holder was not liked by the existing members. This had probably led to a fallout and the investor sold his shares to various board members and left the team.
After the departure, one of the existing shareholders made a clear statement to the press "The new guy, Sir, was not following the ideals on which this team had been built on...its a matter of tradition you see". But they were also quick to clarify that none of them held any grudges against him, it was a difference in opinion that had lead to his departure
With the shares divided evenly among the top five shareholders, the days of autocratic decisions are now a thing of the past in the Mercedes team. After the last Mercedes auction came to an end, one of the beaming board members commented "Everyone is on the same page, we are looking forward to building a good season
