Comunicados de Imprensa - Trio Photo Finish

Trio Photo Finish

In what would surely be hailed as one of MRC'S most spectacular races. Interlagos, Brazil played host to an all out MOTO brawl this afternoon as the motor sport world was given a show of what the latest addition to MRC'S automotive plethora could do.

Bike racing front running regular Romain Louis battled early with Estonian Kala Vees and Spains Jose Ort for the top three spots, but only Ort would retain this podium slot come races end as Britain's Ray Striver and Jonny Herbert - starting 8th and 9th respectively - stormed through the field and made this one a five-way fight for 1st.

Herbert looked set to pull away after despatching of Ort but was kept honest by the Spaniard as Striver climbed to 3rd. What happened there-after is amongst the rarest of rare occurences.

As the three riders duked for supremacy for several laps, Striver took the lead on lap 25/26 and sought to fend off his rivals, as the three rounded Juncao and took off towards the finish line both Herbert and Ort made great use of the slip stream down the straight and fanned out from behind Ray at the flag. Separated by just one tenth of a second, Jonny got the jump on his co-patriot and led home a British one - two with Ort in 3rd as all three crossed the line in tandem.

"I can't possibly be disappointed with this result!" said a jubilant Ray despite being stripped of the win in the final few meters.

"We fought this one out together from the bottom of the top 10, to claim a podium would have been ace alone. What's important here is Johnny taking the win! A huge congratulations to him! This is the first British one - two I've been involved in since my first week of Rookie racing Biguel Maines in Season 6!"
