Australian Formula 4 - Adelaide / Weber crashes in Lap 2
Raphael Weber debuted in Australian Formula 4 today and the first race in Adelaide was in monsoon conditions. 32 laps were to be avoided, Weber did not manage 2 laps when he smashed into the wall a few meters after the duel against Alexander Down. Weber had qualified in fourth place.
"I was surprised by our qualifying result and wanted to get the most out of it. Under monsoon the track is quite difficult to drive, could also fast on P2 ancestors but had slipped too much and it was already over. "
The result of Race 1 will determine the starting order for Race 2, so Weber will have a lot of work ahead of him.
"My hopes for Sunday are to be in the Top 10 or in the Top 7. The surprise in qualifying should be ended with a top result. "
