Boletins de Imprensa - Wheeler: November Manager is a Hack
Wheeler: November Manager is a Hack
In typical Nick Wheeler fashion, the American 2nd-year found his way to a podium in the wake of some controversial trash talking between a couple rookies and Austrian #4/World #104 Eduardo Bernie. Despite the point of the conference being to discuss the half-way point of American F3 Season 10, a stray reporter lit the fire early and Wheeler never really came back on topic.
Reporter: "Nick! What do you think of the comments from Chase November's manager? "
Wheeler: "Aw, man why do you guys always do this to me? Welp, since you asked, I may as well tell you what I think. I think he's a hack. November is a 26-year-old driver. He'll be done in 4-5 seasons. He'll never reach Bernie's achievements. That guy has more hardware than the Home Depot. By the end of our combined careers, he'll be short of mine as well."
Reporter: "So, you don't see November as a threat to anyone?"
Wheeler: "On a race-by-race basis, sure he's a threat to the results sheet. But as far as career drivers go.. he's got tremendous driving ability, but that only gets you so far here. They'll probably run out of money before he can accomplish anything significant. And by the time they can afford anything he'll be retiring. Nothing against Chase. Like I said, great driving ability. Better than me at the moment. But when you build from the ceiling-down, you never really make any upward progress, do you?"
Reporter: "November has a win in a race against Acarini. You don't think he'll get to the top quick enough to earn more?"
Wheeler: "I was in that race. Watching from the pits unfortunately as my machine failed with 77 to go. Acarini had to make an emergency stop real late in the race. November didn't win it, Acarani lost it. He doesn't compare to Acarini or Bernie on the track. It's not even fair to bring those 3 guys up in the same sentence. Hell, if I hold my tongue on a driver.. you know he's gotta be good.
Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, I don't have anymore time to talk about the F3 Series 99% of you came to talk about, and how Rage is running 1-4, and how I just grabbed 2nd overall at the half-way point of the season. But, at least you got your good sound byte thanks to a racing magazine's intern asking a completely unrelated question. Good night."
So, with that Wheeler seems to have charged Chase November's manager with the crime of mismanaging his driver, as good as the results have been.
The Upcoming Driver to Beat
My driver is probably one of the best in this game. The fact that he has the least amount of rating (only been around for 9 races) and has qualified in the top ten in every race is remarkable. The only races he hasn't finished in the top 10 are the o...
Wheeler Retracts
Wheeler gave a statement shortly after his press conference: "In my earlier press conference I incorrectly called Eduardo Diesel, Eduardo Bernie. Forgive my confusion. The Austrian drivers Eduardo Diesel and Andi Bernie are both very strong driv...
