The Up and Downside of Playoff Nascar

This season I made the jump from World TCS to Nascar Silver, mainly due to my frustration with a lack of results.
Understandably I know a 22 year old shouldn't be lighting the world on fire, but I was tired of finishing 10th and 11th every race. This season I was comfortable with the idea that I would be 5th to 8th every race, cause that was where my skill set was in comparison to the rest of the field. Yet this morning I took not only a shock win, but a shock playoff win. Now while that may seem all fine and dandy I cant help but think about the one and only, JJ Davis. His pure domination of the series prior to his retirement was an amazing thing too see, and yet he didn't win as many championships as he truly deserved because of the playoff system within Nascar. The win and you're in system is okay in real life, and it saved me in a previous drivers career, but this season I have no doubt been nothing better than the 6th best driver, but due to my winning this morning I now get to race for a championship. While I don't wish to sound ungrateful for the opportunity, I do feel bad for someone like Heredia or Toth-Fodor as they both have been in a class above me all season. This just shows that while yes I am elated to win, it almost feels a bit undeserving that I now get to race for a championship when in all reality I will wind up a measly 4th. Now while for me this is an unexpected Up, I cant help but feel for those two who no doubt logged on only to be frustrated by the downside of how the system works, and to them I apologize.
Sometimes the system is broken, but its been a great fight all year.
